Yesterday night when I was weeding, found a light of a firefly. I tried to take a movie, but I knew my camera doesn’t have enough ability… sorry. I dream lots of firefly flying on the rice field someday in the future. But I know it is not so easy thing.

Yesterday was a very hot day, so I started weeding after sunset using classical weeding tools.
Then the full moon came up and frogs croaking …

35 days passed after planting.
Today the temperature is nearly 30 degrees, very hot. But the rice like kind of hot day. They look very fine. Blue sky and green rice field … I love this scenery.

We also planted pumpkins. This hot weather is too hot for them but they are growing gradually too.

CH-4 Router work

last month I started card case CH-4 making this year. I designed this card case December 1992.  I have been making over 25 years, amazing!  How many cases we ( me and my wife ) made ? I don’t know …
I have been making so long time, I have lot of episode about this product, I will write little by little in this blog.  This type case we called ” CH-4 ” that means CH-1 ~ 3 cases exist, I will explain about these another time.

First, I try to find woods in my stockyard.  One case needs 25mm thickness and 110mm width and 80mm length. But my machine needs 120mm length, so normally I search wood over 160mm length for two card cases.

This time I found these woods. Some wood is very special, but I always feel the difference… I should say ” uniqueness ” of each wood.  So I think every wood is so  special. They have their own character and language.  I always feel very happy to know the uniqueness, color, touch, smell … everything.

It’s already two weeks past of June. Time is flying very fast.

Last month I started rice cultivating of this year. We had a lot of snow in this area and rice field wouldn’t dry until the end of April. So May is a busy month for farmers.
After some of the tractor work, I finished planting end of May. This year I had a little trouble and couldn’t use my planting machine, so I asked neighborhood farmer for the plant. His machine was very big, it took just only one and half hour. In the old time we planted rice seedling by hand, if we plant my rice filled by hand, it will take 10 people /8 hours.

Two weeks passed, rice seedling grow gradually and also other plants coming up from the ground. I don’t want to use agrochemicals ( herbicide ), so every evening I am walking in my rice field and remove the weeds.

I have never been Copenhagen.  ( Exactly speaking I stayed 2 ” hours ” few years before in winter time. )  I knew it is very different Stockholm or Helsinki.  I liked the feeling very much.

I am going to Scandinavia with my grandson !!
Onboard soon SAS airline.

I was working in this small workshop and making a lot of wood products using these machines and tools. I started woodworking 1981… so, it passed so long time. But I didn’t have the home site before. I sometimes tried to make the home site myself ( in Japanese ) but I couldn’t. Last year I decided to make the site in English!! My English skill is not so good but I will try. Now I am thinking to show my work and want to explain how to make, how to think. This is the first step for me and I am exciting to do!
